Circle K, NOS Energy Drink to sponsor "Outlaw Showdown"
CONCORD, N.C. -- Circle K and NOS Energy Drink have signed as title sponsors for the Circle K NOS Energy Outlaw Showdown at The Dirt Track at Charlotte on May 28, according to WhoWon.com.

"Circle K has been a steadfast supporter of The Dirt Track for many years," said Seamus Curley, director of events at Charlotte Motor Speedway. "We are thrilled to have Circle K and NOS Energy on board to sponsor a tremendous 2010 season opener at The Dirt Track at Charlotte."

Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. currently operates a network of 5,883 c-stores, 4,142 [image-nocss] of which include motor fuel dispensing, located in 11 large geographic markets, including eight in the United States under the Circle K banner covering 43 states and the District of Columbia, and three in Canada under the Mac's banner covering all 10 provinces.

NOS Energy Drink was launched in 2005. It is blended with taurine, L-carnitine, inositol, ginseng and B-vitamins to maximize performance.

Tutul Rahman, NOS brand director, said, "We're excited to sponsor the World of Outlaws in its return to Charlotte, the Mecca of Motorsports, and we look forward to seeing some NOS-some performances."

The stars of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series return to The Dirt Track at Charlotte as part of Coca-Cola 600 Race Week for the Circle K NOS Energy Outlaw Showdown on May 28. The winged, 800-horsepower, open-wheel, sprint cars will take to the four-tenths-mile clay oval to compete for a trip to Victory Lane at The Dirt Track and $12,000-to-win.

Sprint cardriver Steve Kinser, four-time World of Outlaws Series champion Donny Schatz and last year's Showdown winner, Joey Saldana, are expected to be among drivers competing for the top prize. In addition to sprint car racing, the FASTRAK Crate Late Model Series will battle it out in the FASTRAK Triple Crown scheduled to follow the night's main event.

Drivers will participate in an autograph session. The first 1,000 fans to present a NOS Energy Drink from Circle K at the gate for the autograph party will receive a free limited-edition commemorative poster.
