White Hen Charges Up its Coffee

Launches brew with added caffeine

LOMBARD, Ill. -- White Hen Pantry Inc. has launched its new Charged! coffee this week. The coffee has 50% more caffeine than the chain's Original Blend.

Extra caffeine is a new trend in brewed coffee and White Hen's Charged! coffee has garnered favorable response from customers, the company said. The tagline, Its smooth taste leaves the White Hen customer with the barknot the bite.

To help launch the new Charged! coffee, White Hen has revived White Hen Wednesdays, offering 50-cent coffeeany size, any flavorall day long.

White Hen serves more than a dozen varieties of coffee throughout the day, and allows customers to personalize their hot beverage experience with flavored syrups, cinnamon, nutmeg and other toppings, dairy and nondairy creamers and sugar and sugar-substitutes.

Lombard, Ill.-based White Hen Pantry has more than 265 predominantly franchisee-owned and -operated convenience stores in the Chicago and greater Boston areas.
