PLYMOUTH, Mass. — In a move that may influence the marriage between cannabidiol (CBD) products and convenience stores down the line, regional independent c-store chain VERC Enterprises opened a CBD Wellness Center inside one of its locations in Plymouth, Mass., in early May.
On this episode of “At Your Convenience,” CSP dives into the makings of the facility and how VERC completed this plan, which was first revealed at a CSP conference in November 2019. Listen as CSP editor Brett Dworski chats with Tyla Vercollone, CBD category manager for VERC, on the challenges of opening the facility, requirements for customers and employees, educational opportunities offered at the center and more.
Duxbury, Mass.-based VERC Enterprises operates 30 c-stores and gas stations with locations throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The company began more than 40 years ago, with a single car wash in Marshfield, Mass., in a business founded by Eugene Vercollone. The company now has more than 300 employees and is a leader in hiring individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
"At Your Convenience" brings industry experts and analysts together with CSP editors to discuss the latest in c-store news and trends. From mergers and acquisitions to foodservice and technology, the podcast delivers the story straight to listeners in short-format episodes, perfect for the morning commute or a quick break at the office.
