GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Martin Gafinowitz has been appointed president of Gilbarco Inc. and now has global leadership responsibility for the company.
Previously, Gafinowitz was president of Gilbarco North America and Global Strategy. In this role, he had responsibility for Gilbarco's North American business in addition to his global leadership for point-of-sale (POS) systems and station equipment.
Prior to Gafinowitz joining Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco, he was vice president and general manager of Veeder-Root. Since joining Veeder-Root [image-nocss] in 1991, Gafinowitz has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and general management with responsibility for Europe, Asia and North America.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Gasboy areleading suppliers of integrated fuel control, site management and support services for petroleum marketers and commercial fueling enterprises worldwide.
