QuikTrip Corp. is growing in its home state and beyond. The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based convenience-store retailer has opened its first metro location in the Sooner State in Moore, Oklahoma, which is part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

The new travel center, which opened its doors on Feb. 15, is located on the southwest corner of I-35 and NW 27th Street. An additional Oklahoma City location at I-35 and Hefner Road is now under construction, and the company expects it to open later this year.

“QuikTrip customers for years have asked us when we would come to the Oklahoma City area, and we are excited to now be bringing QuikTrip’s signature brand of quality and efficient service to the west side of our home state with the opening of our newest location in Moore,” said QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson. “Our travel center will offer a safe, clean and friendly stop for the many travelers driving on I-35 as well as local residents in the area.”

The new location in Moore is the retailer’s 85th location and has room to service 20 vehicles for gasoline and five diesel bays for trucks. The store includes a full-service kitchen with fresh, made-to-order meals, grab-and-go options including QuikTrip’s signature pizza by the slice and roller grill items. The travel center is larger than traditional QuikTrip stores, the company said.

QuikTrip’s brick-and-mortar growth is also slated outside Oklahoma. The retailer will open its first location in Nevada later this year with plans to continue expanding in the Silver State.

The approximately 8,300-square-foot store will be located at 5625 N. Lamb Boulevard in Las Vegas at the corner northwest corner of Lamb Boulevard and Nexus Way. The store marks QuikTrip’s entrance into its 18th state. The regional convenience-store retailer is also eyeing growth in Illinois.
