MOODY, Ala. -- Red Diamond Coffee and Tea aims to save foodservice operators time with its Simple Sweet Tea premixed filter bag.
The product combines pure cane sugar and premium tea to create a consistent product without having to train workers to measure and dissolve sugar into the beverage. The solution gives employees back time that can be spent on hospitality, the company said.
“The Red Diamond team is driven by our obsession with quality, innovation and customer service,” said Emily Wood Bowron, assistant vice president of strategic marketing for Red Diamond Inc. “Simple Sweet Tea is designed for those who serve our products as well as those who ultimately consume our products. We want to be sure that both the preparation and the taste of the tea is as consistent as possible. With it being premeasured, we are able to meet the needs of our busy operators while providing our consumers with the taste that they expect.”
Red Diamond’s Simple Sweet Tea is packaged in eight-count cartons with 3-gallon brewing instructions.
Forty percent of c-store consumers say they're buying hot tea more often than they were just one year ago, and more than a third of those surveyed (39%) are buying more brewed cold tea from convenience stores than they did a year ago, according to Chicago-based Technomic's spring 2017 Convenience Store Consumer Marketbrief.
Red Diamond is a family-owned company dating back to 1906. The company is based in Moody, Ala.
