CHICAGO  Convenience-store retailers looking to increase revenue should consider ramping up customization offerings with cold beverages.

At Starbucks, customers are increasingly customizing beverages with a greater number of additions, such as Toasted Vanilla Syrup, CSP sister publication Restaurant Business recently reported.

Money generated from these modifiers has doubled since 2019 to $1 billion, Starbucks said.
