Sunny Sky Products Launches Bubbler Program

Beverage line gives consumers a handcrafted alternative to the fountain

HOUSTON -- Sunny Sky Products LLC has expanded its Pure Craft Beverages line to include bubbler juices, teas and lemonade.

The handcrafted beverages part of the Bubbler Program are available in flavors such as Berry Tea, Strawberry Watermelon, Ginger Pear and Raspberry Hibiscus Tea. The drinks are made with real sugar and natural syrup instead of high fructose corn syrup.

“Consumers are making smarter decisions regarding their beverage choices and are willing to pay for specialty and small-batch labels that offer uniqueness,” said Ashley Edens, Sunny Sky Products’ president and CEO, in a release. “Handcrafted beverage offerings such as signature specialty teas and lemonades are elevating the perceived quality of the beverage selection and the better-for-you trend."

Retailers can purchase the line of bubbler drinks in half-gallon bottles through select broad-line distributors.

In an effort to appeal to health-forward consumers, some c-stores are menuing more artisan-style drinks. Through a partnership with Jones Soda Co., Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. launched regional craft fountain flavors and Slurpees. Shell Canada, Calgary, Alberta, has joined forces with fast-casual Freshii to offer healthier options such as juices, snacks and meals in its Toronto-area locations.

Houston-based Sunny Sky Products distributes its cold dispensed, hot dispensed and frozen beverages, as well as beverage enhancers, to more than 20 countries. The brand’s product portfolio includes brands such as Hershey’s Freeze, Jolly Rancher Slush, Pure Craft Beverages, El Nino Aguas Frescas and Original Slushie Co.
