Sheetz is celebrating Truck Driver Appreciation Week by reducing diesel fuel prices by 35 cents a gallon to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the trucking event. The chain is reducing the price for auto diesel and truck diesel at all of its more than 680 locations. Sheetz also will decrease its diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) prices to 99 cents a gallon at the pump. Both price reductions began on Labor Day, Sept. 4, and end on Sept. 16.

Additionally, Sheetz is extending its “Dog Days” deal on Unleaded 88 through Labor Day Weekend. Earlier this month, the company announced it would reduce the price of its Unleaded 88 fuel grade to $2.99 a gallon at Sheetz locations that offer these fuel options. This offer, which originally lasted until Aug. 31, has now been extended to the end of Labor Day, 11:59 p.m. EST on Sept. 4.

“Truck drivers positively impact the fabric of everyday American life,” said Travis Sheetz, president and CEO of Sheetz. “They are truly the backbone of this country and, as a company, we are committed to showing our appreciation. Our hope through this is to provide extended offers that will be beneficial to them and involve the public so we can shine a light on the hard work these drivers do.”

Sheetz will further show its appreciation by offering a Sheetz-branded trucker hat at its 37 truck diesel locations to any new or current loyalty customers. Sheetz will also offer five different weekly deals in September and into October, redeemable for truck drivers through the Sheetz app:

  • Sept. 1-7: 99-cent energy drink from the cooler with any purchase.
  • Sept. 8-14: Free half meatball or turkey sub with any purchase.
  • Sept. 15-21: Mix and match any two 20-ounce sodas for $2 with any purchase.
  • Sept. 22-30 : Earn 500 bonus loyalty points with any purchase.
  • Oct. 1-7: Purchase any two Powerades for $3.

On Independence Day, the convenience retailer reduced its gas prices for all grades to $1.776 a gallon, commemorating the year when the Declaration of Independence was signed. In April, Sheetz reduced the price of E85 to $1.85 a gallon to raise awareness of the biofuel blend. In March, the retailer cut prices on premium, midgrade and ethanol-free fuel grades in a March Madness promotion, and over Thanksgiving 2022, Sheetz cut the price of Unleaded 88 gasoline to $1.99 a gallon.
