Sheetz is offering another week of lower prices at the gas pump, reducing the price of its premium, midgrade and ethanol-free fuel grades in recognition of St. Patrick's Day and March Madness.

The prices of these grades are dropped to match the regular 87 prices at all Sheetz locations that offer these fuel options, the company said.

  • With 670 c-stores, Altoona, Pa.-based Sheetz is No. 12 on CSP’s 2023 Top 40 update of the largest U.S. convenience-store chains by company-owned store count.

In January, Sheetz cut diesel fuel prices by 50 cents a gallon at each of its locations that offer diesel. And in September, the retailer celebrated Truck Driver Appreciation Week by reducing diesel fuel prices to $4.49 a gallon for the entire month.

In other Sheetz news, the retailer’s MTO menu advanced to Round 2 of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Coolest Thing Made in Pennsylvania tournament, topping Astrobotic Lunar Robots in Twitter voting 58% to 42% in the first round. In Round 2, Sheetz MTO will face off against the Duolingo Language Learning App, which beat Eat’n Park Smiley Cookies in the first round. Round 2 voting begins Tuesday on Twitter.

Meanwhile, retailer Rutter’s Iced Tea fell in Round 1 to Martin & Co. Guitars.
