YORK, Pa. —Wholesaler Shipley Energy has signed on with VP Racing Fuels Inc. to offer the VP Racing Fuels brand in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Family-owned Shipley Energy provides wholesale gasoline, ultralow sulfur diesel, biodiesel, off-road diesel and heating oil to customers in central Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Its new agreement with VP Racing Fuels will enable it to offer the brand at what it describes as “aggressive” terminal pricing.

“Like Shipley Energy, VP Racing Fuels is an innovative, customer-focused organization,” said Matt Sommer, president of Shipley Energy, York, Pa. “This partnership provides our customers access to a fresh brand image and a unique product offering at competitive prices. We’re excited to help our customers drive new volume and higher-margin sales to their sites.”

“Shipley’s offering VP branded fuel and making available all the products and services offered by traditional major brands,” said Matt Schuster, regional manager for VP branded wholesale business development.

The VP Racing Fuels brand package includes the ability to offer VP’s other product lines, including ethanol-free VP Small Engine Fuels and VP Madditive performance chemicals. VP recently diversified its offer with new VP Racing Fastlube quick-lube centers, VP Racing PowerWash car-wash centers, and the VP Appearance and VP Tank Guardian product lines. The first VP Racing Fastlube opened in Texas in the spring.

San Antonio-based VP Racing Fuels said it plans to expand its network of more than 300 branded convenience stores, Fastlubes and PowerWash car-wash centers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
