Spirit is managed by marketers and owned by the Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA).

Haskins has been with New Hope, Pa.-based PMOCO for 12 years. In 2004, when she joined the company, which had only recently been created, she brought many years of experience to the role, having worked prior to that with another petroleum marketer as a vice president. In all, Haskins has more than 40 years of management experience.

During the period of Haskins’ leadership, Spirit has licensed more than 500 sites.

“Vera was very passionate and instrumental in promoting and growing the Spirit brand. On behalf of PMAA, I would like to thank Vera for her years of service to the industry and wish her the very best in retirement,” said Rob Underwood, president of Arlington, Va.-based PMAA.

“Vera has set a strong foundation for the Spirit brand, building the company from the ground up,” said PMOCO board chairman Bill Herdrich. “Her leadership in creating an organization that will continue to grow and succeed also will make the job of whoever succeeds her in this position much easier. That said, the next person to take this role will have a very hard act to follow.”

PMOCO is looking for Haskins’ successor.
