NORWALK, Conn. — Want a salty snack made with vegetables? Pepperidge Farm is introducing Goldfish Veggie crackers in January. The snack will come in two flavors: Cheesy Tomato and Sweet Carrot.
The Cheesy Tomato crackers are made with cheddar cheese and one-third serving of tomato per serving and are colored by tomatoes, beet juice and annatto. Sweet Carrot snacks have one-third serving of carrots per serving, are rich in vitamin A and are made with color from carrot and paprika extract. Goldfish Veggies have no artificial flavors or preservatives.
Goldfish Veggie will be available at select grocers, including Kroger, Walmart and Publix, starting Jan. 1. In March, the snack will be available nationwide with a suggested retail price of $2.49.
