Holiday Stationstores Selects PDI

Will implement pricebook application at all 427 retail locations

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Holiday Stationstores has selected PDI's next-generation software, PDI/Enterprise, to automate its home office and 427 retail sites.

The project includes upgrading the Holiday point-of-sale (POS) software provided by Radiant Systems and the full implementation of PDI's Enterprise for corporate and store locations.

"Holiday's decision validates the input of over 200 wholesale and retail companies in our five year effort to develop a state-of-the art, network centric system that automates a company from general [image-nocss] ledger to the store in one system, said Greg Gilkerson, PDI's president.

"We were particularly impressed with the breadth of PDI/Enterprise, the powerful pricebook application and the ease of use of the site-level software, said Randy Skar, vice president and CIO for Holiday. It was beneficial that PDI demonstrated the system using our pricebook data and store paperwork to the selection team. It is also noteworthy that we were invited to participate in PDI customer meetings and events. It has given us an inside look at how PDI works with their customers and how this product has come together."

Temple, Texas-based PDI, a wholly owned subsidiary of McLane, Co., provides software and professional services to more than 300 convenience retailers and wholesale petroleum marketers. Worldwide, these companies operate more than 20,000 retail locations that use PDI systems.

Holiday Stationstores, Bloomington, Minn., is a convenience store/gas station company with 427 corporate and franchise locations in 12 states throughout the upper tier of the United States including Alaska. It is the sole distributor of Blue Planet gasoline.
