TravelCenters of America opened a location in Glenrio, New Mexico, which was formerly family-owned Russell’s Travel Center. The travel center is the company’s ninth location in New Mexico, increasing the total nationwide network of travel centers to 293.

The siteon U.S. 40, formerly part of U.S. Route 66offers a classic car and memorabilia museum, an authentic Route 66 diner and a store with convenience offerings.

Full amenities include:

  • Dining Options: Russell’s Route 66 Diner and Subway
  • Store with hot and cold beverages, snacks and merchandise
  • 10 diesel fueling positions
  • Eight gasoline fueling lanes
  • 175 truck parking spaces
  • 80 car parking spaces and RV parking available
  • Eight private showers
  • Laundry facilities
  • Pet area

Westlake, Ohio-based TravelCenters of America, acquired by bp in May, is operator and franchisor of the TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express travel center brands. bp is No. 7 and TravelCenters of America is No. 29 on CSP’s 2023 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by company-owned store count.
