Wawa has officially completed the launch of Wawa Pizza after a rollout that started in early June.
The pizza is part of the Wawa, Pennsylvania-based convenience-store chain’s growing dinner menu, and as of last week it’s now in more than 900 locations across the Mid-Atlantic and Florida “after years of perfecting the recipe,” the company said.
Wawa Pizza comes in two size options, 14 or 16 inches, and can be ordered in store via Wawa’s touchscreens or through the Wawa app. Prices start at $12.99.
“While the vast majority of Wawa stores are offering full-size pizzas, a select number of stores are only offering a special, personal-size pizza,” Wawa said.

All Wawa Pizza, available from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. in stores open 24 hours, is built to order using Wawa’s freshly made dough, proprietary pizza sauce, whole milk mozzarella and more, the company said. The pizzas are then baked in dedicated pizza ovens that have been added to most Wawa locations.
Varieties include plain, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and veggie, with expanded options down the road.
Mary-Rose Hannum, vice president of Fresh Food and Beverages at Wawa, said, “Pizza is one of the most beloved foods in America, so we couldn’t be more excited to make it a part of Wawa’s fast-casual-to-go offering and create a restaurant-like experience with our high-quality ingredients, great value, and the convenience we’re known for.”
Wawa is not the only c-store chain boosting its pizza program lately. At Casey’s General Store’s 2023 Investor Day earlier this month, the Ankeny, Iowa-based c-store chain said it’s in the midst of a “pizza revamp program.”
With its more than 2,500 locations, Casey’s is the fifth-largest pizza seller in the United States by unit count, just behind the 3,180-unit Papa Johns.
Pizza is a huge differentiator for Casey’s, it said, and President and CEO Darren Rebelez called it the chain’s “crown jewel.”
Brad Haga, senior vice president of prepared foods and dispensed beverages, said the Casey’s program “leverages guest feedback to optimize our recipes … and deliver higher quality pizza to the guests, in addition, removing kitchen complexity for stores and delivering more profit to the bottom line. Our pizza revamp is a win, win, win.”
In 2022, Wawa launched a new, enhanced dinner platform with the debut of the Wawa burger and fries. Since then, the c-store chains has continued to expand the platform with dinner salads, crispy chicken, dinner sides and more.

Wawa has 1,000 c-stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C.
