Rebranding is underway at both former Lou Perrine’s Gas & Grocery locations in Kenosha, Wisconsin, according to a local news report.
Independent convenience-store retailer Anthony Perrine sold the two family-owned stores to an undisclosed investment firm based in Indianapolis, the retailer said in a Facebook post in July. July 11 was Lou Perrine’s last day in business after 68 years at the original location at the threshold of the Kenosha Harbor district and just over a year at the second location to the south.
Lou Perrine Sr. started a small, full-service Clark gas station in Kenosha in 1954, the company said on its website. Lou Perrine Jr. took over the family business following the death of his father in 1985. Eldest son Anthony Perrine joined in 2008.
The Perrine family has retained the Mama P’s HoHo Cake and Lou Perrine’s Gas & Groceries brand names.

The stations’ forecourt canopies now feature bp brandings, the report said. The stores will be branded “K-Town Market,” Melissa Stevens, district manager with Kenosha Food Mart, told Kenosha News.
She did not offer a timeline for the new owner to complete the rebranding. The company plans a grand opening event sometime this fall, she said.
The locations will continue to operate as usual, Stevens said, including the discount for cash payment and loyalty program, under a new name.
“We want to continue on with the great customer service in the area. We’re going to do our best to bring new services,” Stevens said.
