7-Eleven will bring international flare to National Ice Cream Day this year with the launch of My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream balls.
My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream balls come in a new two-pack designed especially for the grab-and-go market. The treats are in 7-Eleven stores across the United States now.
“We know that younger consumers are looking for craveable snacking on-the-go experiences that are new and different. My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream offers a quick, convenient way to satisfy anyone's cravings for a fun, portable treat," said Brooke Hodierne, vice president of merchandising for the Irving, Texas-based chain.
Each My/Mo Mochi Pack contains two individual premium ice cream balls wrapped in sweet, pillowy mochi dough. Available in Ripe Strawberry and Sweet Mango flavors, the suggested retail price is $2.99 per two-pack.
Developed in Japan, mochi first came to the United States in gourmet grocery stores and restaurants.
Cumberland Farms will offer customers $1 off any of its private-label ice cream pints to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.
Customers can receive a coupon for the discounted pints by texting the word SCOOPS to 64827 on July 19. The text will automatically enroll customers into Cumberland Farms’ database, and those who area already enrolled will automatically receive the coupon the morning of July 19. The offer is available through July 21 at all Cumberland Farms stores.
Cumberland Farms’ Ultimate Scoop pints come in Doughlicious Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Persuasion, Seasonal Strawberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Treat Trail Mix Twist, and Rapturous Raspberry Burst flavors. Each pint usually costs $5.49 but will be available for $4.49 during the promotion.
Besides Ultimate Scoop pints, Westborough, Mass.-based Cumberland Farms’ private-label ice cream line includes Farmhouse Ice Cream Sandwiches and Farmhouse Creamery Quarts.
Stewart’s Shops will offer make-your-own sundaes for $1.99 on National Ice Cream Day. Members of Stewart’s Scoop Club can also purchase any 10 items from the ice cream counter and receive an 11th for free.
Ballston Spa, N.Y.-based Stewart’s kicked off July—National Ice Cream Month—by offering 50-cent cones on July 1. The c-store chain currently offers 65 ice-cream flavors in cones, half-gallons and pints, including Peanut Butter Pandemonium, Philly Vanilla, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Mint Cookie Crumble, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and more.
