Casey’s General Stores Inc. is ramping up its spring and summer store-level hiring for 2024.

“We encourage our team members and community members to spread the word to consider a career at Casey’s,” said Nan Thomae, vice president of human resources for store operations at the Ankeny, Iowa-based convenience-store chain. “We are a growing retailer with a competitive offering to job seekers and the summer season is a great time to join us because there’s so much activity and energy in our stores.”

New Value Proposition

The retailer recently introduced a formal team member value proposition featuring structured career growth programs, comprehensive benefits and recognition programs that encourage engagement. Along with new hiring, Casey’s is focusing on developing its existing employees, and the company recently introduced internal career fairs to help with succession planning and growth.

The internal hiring events will focus on helping existing team members learn more about creating a customized career path and expressing interest in furthering their career with Casey’s. The internal career fair is a step in the new ways the chain is trying to engage its team with new opportunities within the organization.

“Casey’s introduced our team member value proposition this past year which brings clear focus to all the ways we are supporting our team members as they grow and develop within the company. This includes providing career growth opportunities, supporting well-being, living our values and being engaged at work,” said Thomae.
