G&M Oil Co. Inc. was founded in California in 1969 with George A. Pearson as the sole stockholder. Today, the company operates G&M Food Mart convenience stores and fuel stations throughout Southern California.
In 2014, the company opened two stores, one in Huntington Beach and one in Redondo Beach, and remodeled five stores. It plans to remodel an additional four to five sites in the coming year. It also continues to look for expansion opportunities in the Southern California area.
G&M offers Chevron-branded fuel and some units have private-branded gasoline. In addition to its G&M Food Mart stores, the company also operates about 35 Extra Mile (Chevron) stores in Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties, and it continues to expand. While the primary method of expansion has been to acquire existing locations and upgrade them, G&M Oil Co. has built some sites from the ground up.
