With its headquarters in Butte, Mont., Town Pump Inc. operates 95 corporate stores all known as Town Pump Food Stores. All the stores are located in Montana, and all sell gasoline, most including diesel. Exxon is the primary brand, but a few sell Conoco and Cenex fuels; 19 of the stores also feature a touchless, automatic car wash. The company also has 29 truckstop locations, including some branded Pilot Flying J.

The company was founded in 1953 by Tom Kenneally Sr., who began by operating full-service gas stations. His vision expanded into offering convenience stores in the 1980s in response to customer demand for more groceries, deli and other services.
