As it has been since 1933, Blarney Castle Oil Co. remains a family-owned Michigan-based business dedicated to providing "superior super service." Blarney Castle convenience stores are branded EZ Mart in conjunction with fuel brand names including bp, Marathon, Mobil, Shell and Sunoco. Many of the EZ Mart locations offer a proprietary food program, Lucky Louie's, and/or Chester's Chicken.
About 75% of the EZ Mart locations are in northern Michigan, with the remaining locations in the more populated central/southern Michigan areas. As of Jan. 1, 2023, the company expanded to operating a total of 148 c-stores. In fall 2022, the company executed a purchase agreement with Alpena Oil Co. for 19 c-stores. Blarney Castle Oil Co. closed on the Alpena Oil Co. purchase on Jan. 25, 2023, bringing its c-store total to 167.
In addition to the company's business of convenience stores, Blarney Castle Oil Co. owns and operates 10 bulk plant locations that offer propane and home heating oil service, commercial fuel and bulk lubricant sales.For benchmarking purposes, store counts are as of Jan. 1, 2023.
