Southern cooking, in particular Dodge's Chicken, is the Savings Oil Co. chain's competitive advantage. Many Dodge's Stores are known in their markets as Dodge's Chicken Stores because fried chicken and other fried foods are prepared on site daily. Most of the company's stores have the fresh-made chicken offerings. The remaining outlets are called Savings Stations, which are gas stations with small kiosks selling just a few convenience items. The chain's newest endeavor is delivery service, and the addition of pizza at some stores.
