MINONG, Wis.– Jack Link's Protein Snacks has revealed three new portable products that will launch in 2019. The company said it is looking to extend its presence outside the meat-snack landscape by developing products that bring new consumers to the category and create new protein snacking occasions.
"We are on a mission to make protein snacking accessible to everyone," said T.D. Dixon, chief marketing officer for Jack Link's Protein Snacks. "Consumers continue to seek more protein in their diet, so we've focused our innovation efforts, whether that be form, packaging or flavors, to provide consumers new opportunities to engage in the category. These efforts are creating incredible growth for our customers and the entire category."
Here are the three products Jack Link’s will launch next year …

Jack Link's Steak Bites are pieces of kippered beef in a hand-held, tear-and-eat snack pack. They will come in two flavors: Original and Teriyaki. The Steak Bites are made with 100% beef and are loaded with protein: 17 grams per pack. Building on today’s healthy snacking trend, this product also contains 110 calories, 1 gram of sugar and 1.5 grams of fat per package.
The company launched its Cold Crafted line of refrigerated meat snacks in January 2018. Next year, Jack Link’s Cold Crafted will unveil its Cold Crafted Linkwich, a breadless sandwich featuring cured meats and Wisconsin cheese. The Cold Crafted Linkwich contains about 14 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar and carbohydrates, and is gluten-free. This product will come in three varieties: Colby Jack & Hard Salami, Pepper Jack & Genoa Salami and Cheddar and Hard Salami.
Jack Link's will launch its new Smokehouse line in 2019, and the first product will be Smokehouse Beef Sausages. These snacks, made with 100% beef smoked sausages, are naturally smoked with hickory and applewood. They will come in two flavors: Original and Hot & Spicy, both of which are gluten-free and free of artificial additives.
Minong, Wis.-based Jack Link's offers more than 100 protein snacks in a variety of flavors, sizes and prices, and features brands such as Lorissa's Kitchen, Matador Jerky, World Kitchens Jerky, Grass Run Farms Meat Snacks, BiFi and Peperami.
