Short Leash Hotdogs was named one of the best Phoenix food trucks by AZCentral.com. It puts a gourmet twist on the traditional hot dog, focusing on local purveyors and natural ingredients.
A spicy sausage fried in dough (above) made for a tasty wake-me-up. Other items offered include a brisket salad and a hot dog on a stick fried in sweet pancake dough. (I could have eaten three of these, but didn’t.) Find more information here: http://shortleashhotdogs.com/
This morning I tried the brisket breakfast taco (with eggs). Mighty taste, with just enough kick to wake up your taste buds. Learn more: http://www.180-q.com/Home_Page.html
The Maine Lobster Lady works with her husband to bring fresh lobster and other seafood into Phoenix on a regular basis. Key menu items include Lobster Rolls, Lobster Mac n Cheese and a lobster salad. Foodservice Flavor Focus: Bo’s Bird Dog from Bojangles is a different take on the hot dog, while a new limited-time offer at Quiznos is the Queso Philly Sub with Black Angus steak
