
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Continuing a buying spree that has been going on for several years, Majors Management LLC, Lawrenceville, Ga., acquired 17 stores in November in three separate deals.
It acquired six c-stores from Bay Shores Oil Inc., Fairhope, Ala. The sites are located in Baldwin County, Ala., and the acquisition further expands Majors Management’s footprint in the state.
The company also acquired 10 Chevron-branded c-stores, the dealer wholesale business and the commercial fuels and lubricants business and associated bulk plant facility in East Texas from Morgan Oil Co. Inc., Nacogdoches, Texas.
And it purchased the K&H Truck Plaza in Gilman, Ill., representing Majors Management’s first foray into Illinois.
In the last three years, Majors Management has completed 16 acquisitions across 12 states, including 69 c-stores from Circle K in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia in late 2021.
Among the other retail deals were:
- 7 Time Out Market c-stores from Haywood Oil Co. Inc., Waynesville, N.C., doing business as Peak Energy, in 2021
- 25 c-stores from Tri-State Petroleum, Wheeling, W.Va., in 2021
- Eight c-stores from Osan Petroleum Co. Inc., Macon, Ga., in 2020
- 14 Star Stop c-stores from Regal Oil Inc., San Angelo, Texas, in 2020
- 18 Summit Food Stores from McDonald Oil Co., LaGrange, Ga., in 2019
- 17 Shop “N” Fill Food Marts from Bowden Oil Co., Sylacauga, Ala., in 2019
Other Big Deals From November
- BW Gas & Convenience Holdings LLC, dba Yesway, Fort Worth, Texas, opened three new Allsup’s stores in Fort Stockton, Hawley and Millsap, Texas, reaching a growth milestone of 425 c-stores in nine states, having opened 39 new-to-industry and relocated stores in 2022.
- CrossAmerica Partners LP, Allentown, Pa., acquired 39 dealer-owned locations, 34 subjobber accounts and two commission locations (one fee based and one lease), from Community Service Stations Inc., Framingham, Mass.
- Petroleum Marketing Group Inc., Falls Church, Va., acquired 19 c-stores and the wholesale dealer business from Holt Oil Co. Inc., Fayetteville, N.C.
- TravelCenters of America LLC franchisees Malcolm Anderberg and Clyde Gelderloos sold a Petro Travel Plaza in Rochelle, Ill., and the buyer, Mike Boparai, a truck operator, investor and quick-service restaurant owner from Stockton, Calif., will continue to operate under the franchise of Westlake, Ohio-based TA.
