More than half (52%) of millennials said they prefer visiting foodservice establishments that offer new or innovative flavors and ingredients, according to the 2020 Generational Consumer Trend Report by CSP sister research firm, Technomic, Chicago. Regardless of whether a convenience-store chain has offered premium food for years or is first diving into it, the channel continues to innovate its foodservice programs during trying times.
