By Steve Holtz on Jun. 26, 2014Argo Tea released its first sugar-free drinks this spring. Ginger Peach, Green Tea Strawberry and Hibiscus Apple hit shelves the week after the FARE Conference. Other additions coming to the line include Limonello, Blueberry White, Oolong coconut and Hazelnut Chai.
The beverage cup experts from Whirley DrinkWorks! are marketing a new prototype package that brings the panache of beer growlers to the soda fountain in 32- and 64-ounce sizes. Also marketing technology/app solutions for the fountain, Jacqui Cintron, vice president of marketing, declared, “We’re not just the mug guys anymore.”
GoodWest Café featured its Kona Iced Coffee, “the easiest way to capture the ever expanding specialized coffee category,” according to the company.
Keurig as your coffee program? Maybe not yet, but new equipment models from Keurig Green Mountain Inc. move the brew-it-yourself model closer to reality.
S&D Coffee & Tea highlighted its sustainability efforts as point-of-origin stories and maintain product becomes a larger issue for consumers.
Insight Beverages brings two premium lemonades to the bubbler: YellowBird Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade complement the company’s Hydralive Cooler line.
Revolution Tea resized its fresh-brewed-tea towers from 1.5 gallons to 1 gallon each, making room for three towers in the same space that previously held only two and ensuring fresher product.
Now in the hands of SunnySky Products, the Jolly Rancher slushie brand is getting a fresh push to retailers.
Teazzers! fresh brewed iced tea is now available in Peach, Raspberry, Passion Fruit Mango and other sweetened and unsweetened flavors.
Nestle Waters North America makes its way into the dispensed-beverage business with Coffee-mate Iced Coffee, Sunkist Lemonade and Enhanced Water and Nestea Unsweetened Tea.
Nestle Waters also adds a new brand to the booming sparkling-water category: Nestle Pure Life Exotic in Mango Peach Pineapple, Key Lime, Strawberry Dragon Fruit and Mandarina in 12-oz. cans.
Ronnoco Handcrafted Coffee featured its Camellia line of iced teas, dubbed “the Flower of Teas,” available in Raspberry, Berry Green, Sweetened and Unsweetened. Also highlighted, Roy’s Fresh Lemonade, a recipe discovered in the Southwest. “If our lemons were any fresher, you’d slap them,” the company claims.
