In recognition of the 85th anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition, Budweiser and Jim Beam unveiled a collaborative brew called Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager on Aug. 23. The new beer celebrates the two all-American brands that survived Prohibition and have thrived in their respective businesses for a collective 365 years.
Copper Lager is an American lager-style beer, brewed with two-row barley and aged on Jim Beam bourbon barrel staves. The charred American oak staves, which previously served as barrels aging Jim Beam for four years, create a toasted-oak aroma, while the beer has a nutty taste with caramel rye and vanilla notes, according to the company.
The new specialty beer will be available in heritage glass bottles and on draught at bars across the country through the holiday season.

Sapporo USA will launch Sapporo Premium Black on Sept. 1. The new beer is the first new product from Sapporo in the U.S. market since 2004. Sapporo Premium Black is a bold and flavorful dark lager that marks a pioneering effort for the imported Japanese brand into the world of dark beer, the company said. Sapporo Premium Black is 5% alcohol by volume and packaged in a distinctly designed variation of Sapporo’s signature 22-ounce steel can.
Cannabiniers, a foodservice, technology and brand management company, has announced the expansion of its alternative-beverage portfolio through its new Two Roots Brewing Co. Two Roots is the world's first line of "CannaCrafted" nonalcohol THC- and CBD-infused craft beer, the company said. Cannabiniers' Two Roots Brewing Co. is the only line of craft beer in the United States using technology for dealcoholizing beer, according to the San Diego-based company. Brewed in California and infused with THC and CBD in Nevada and California, Two Roots' initial product offering consists of five beer styles, including Lager, Stout, New West IPA, Blonde Ale and Wheat. Two Roots calls a sixth style "Tribute" because it tastes like cannabis.
Pyramid Brewing Co. has launched Coast Day Dry-Hop Hazy Lager, a hazy pale, straw-colored lager available in 19.2-ounce cans. Brewed with a blend of Nugget, Liberty and Mount Hood hops and dry-hopped with Experimental Hop 09326 plus Centennials, Coast Day is a full-flavor, full-bodied beer that features tastes and aromas of citrus and berry, the company said.
