Sonic

Oklahoma City

Corn-battered and deep-fried, corn dogs are the epitome of protein on a stick. For one day in August, participating Sonic restaurants offered classic corn dogs for 50 cents. Although it varies by location, the typical price of a Sonic corn dog is about $1.50, so the one-day event proved to be a money saver for consumers who were eager for the treat on a stick.

And for a snack-friendly version of its protein-packed dogs, Uncle Franky’s menu includes a mini flight of hot dogs: three dogs in tiny form, with the same toppings that are available for their full-sized cousins.

Wetzel’s Pretzels

The bite-size version of Wetzel’s Pretzels’ classic Wetzel Dog features mini all-beef hot dogs wrapped in a classic Wetzel Pretzel. The chewy pretzel dough, sprinkled with salt, plus the hot dog makes for a unique protein snack.
