8 CBD Companies to Watch
By Steve Holtz on May 28, 2019DENVER — As convenience-store retailers learn the shifting ins and outs of cannabidiol (CBD) products, one of the challenges is knowing which manufacturers are returning the effort by learning the ropes of the c-store channel.
Here are eight CBD companies that journeyed to Denver to take part in CSP's CBD and the Future of Cannabis Conference in April, sharing insights of this new category that's expected to grow to $1.8 billion over the next three years, according to Statista ...
1. Floyd's of Leadville
Leadville, Colo.-based Floyd's of Leadville founder Floyd Landis is a former Tour de France bicyclist who turned to CBD to battle his own chronic pain. The company's line of CBD-infused products includes gummy gems, soft gels and protein powders, as well as a line of hemp products for pets called Odessa's Essential Health.
2. Reliva CBD Wellness
Reliva CBD Wellness, Natick, Mass., offers a premium line of health and wellness products made with CBD, according to the company. Its products include edible, topicals, tinctures and shots, including gummies, "pain sticks" and recovery shots "perfect for dealing with stressful days at work, tackling overtime or recovering from a late night out with friends," the company said.
3. Kretek International
Moorpark, Calif.-based Kretek International, importer of Cuban Rounds and Djarum cigars, among other products, is one of the first traditional tobacco companies to get into the CBD market. Kretek markets Cannadips, a line of CBD-infused snus-like pouches. More recently, it introduced the Mosaic brand of CBD-infused gummies, tinctures and capsules.
4. Max Distributing
Max Distributing, Little Rock, Ark., is a c-store distributor that, after previously having issues with another CBD producer, chose to create its own line: Total Bliss, which includes vape pens and cartridges, gummies, capsules, tinctures, mints and body lotions, among other CBD-infused products.
5. S2S Partners
S2S Partners, Hygiene, Colo., is a distribution and production company that represents products from other companies and aids retailers with the private-label process. S2S is responsible for two line of products, the Liv line of tinctures and creams, and the Magic CBD line of tinctures, vape juice and gummies.
6. VPR Brands
VPR Brands, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., started its CBD line with a vape product called the Honey Stick. Since then, it's expanded into several brands, including GoldLine vape and gummy products and JustCBD vape, gummies, protein bars and chocolates and the smokable JustCBD Doobie preroll.

Denver-based Aceso Hemp offers a line of hemp-derived drink-powder supplements for promoting optimal health, according to the company. Its product line includes CBD-infused Fizz Tablets in three flavors and styles: Calm, Soothe and Wellness. The company also markets a line of hemp supplements for dogs and cats under the Therabis brand.
