TravelCenters of America, Westlake Ohio, raised nearly $153,000 for St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund (SCF). From Memorial Day to Labor Day, guests at participating TA, Petro and TA Express locations had the opportunity to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar. The funds were donated directly to SCF to support professional drivers who have experienced an injury or illness that has recently caused them to take a break from the road.

Casey’s
Casey’s, Ankeny, Iowa, partnered with Illinois Farm Families, which represents farmers across Illinois. In October, Casey’s pizzas came with a flyer featuring 10 farm families representing a variety of Illinois family-owned row crop and livestock operations. The promotion, a continuation of IFF’s “We are the 96%” campaign to raise awareness that 96% of Illinois farms are family-owned, is available at all Casey’s locations in Illinois.
Families appearing on Casey’s pizza flyers include the Noland family, of Blue Mound; the Casner family, Rosamond; the Dollinger family, Mazon; the Heap family, Minooka; the Gould family, Maple Park; the Kleinschmidt family, Armington; the Willard family, Griggsville; the Sanderson family, Clare; the Stitzel family, Shannon; and the Leman family, Eureka.
Maverik
Maverik Inc., Salt Lake City, contributed $250,000 to Feeding America, which supports people who experience food insecurity. In addition, the chain held a round-up campaign in October, which also supported the organization.
“We understand food insecurity and hunger continues to face so many of our neighbors across our local communities,” said Chuck Maggelet, CEO and chief adventure guide of Maverik. “That’s why we’re proud to team up with Feeding America again this fall to help support people in need, while offering an avenue for our customers to do so as well if they choose.”
Love’s
Trillium Energy Solutions and Musket Corp., members of the Love’s family of companies, Oklahoma City, raised $475,000 at the 10th annual Drive for a Child fundraiser benefiting Texas Children’s Hospital.
Since 2013, Musket and Trillium have raised more than $2.8 million for Texas Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Parker Cos.
Parker Cos., Savannah, Georgia, raised $328,000 to support public and private schools in the communities the company serves throughout Georgia and South Carolina. The chain received the funds through its annual Fueling the Community Charity Golf Tournament.
The Fueling the Community charitable initiative donates a percentage of gas sold at all Parker’s and Parker’s Kitchen locations on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools. Since the program’s inception in 2011, the company has given more than $2 million to area schools. Throughout the fall, Parker’s Kitchen is donating $380,000 to public and private schools in Georgia and South Carolina.
Enmarket
Enmarket, Savannah, Georgia, raised $142,350 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) to help fight against blood cancers. Customers donated at checkout and at the society’s Light the Night event in Savannah. Light The Night is a series of fundraising campaigns benefiting LLS and its funding of innovative research and support for blood cancer patients. Culminating in inspirational and memorable events after dark throughout the fall, participants in 140 communities across North America joined together carrying illuminated lanterns to bring light to the darkness of cancer—white lanterns for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer.
Cenex
Cenex, the energy brand of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota-based CHS Inc., and Farmers Cooperative Oil of Elbow Lake and Wendell, Minnesota, have awarded the West Central Ag Boosters with a $25,000 Hometown Pride grant in support of Growing Grant County.
The West Central Ag Boosters in support of Growing Grant County was nominated by Farmers Cooperative Oil of Elbow Lake and Wendell for its contributions to the West Central Area Schools, Ashby Public Schools and surrounding communities for its dedication to advancing agricultural education, meat and vegetable production, and philanthropy. These efforts have bolstered the availability of local food to communities, while teaching life and career skills to high-school students.
Irving Oil
Irving Oil, Saint John, Canada, celebrated Fuel the Care Day in October with employees at select retail sites in Canada, the United States and Ireland washing windshields, pumping fuel and thanking customers for supporting Fuel the Care by choosing Irving Oil.
Since 2002, Fuel the Care has supported more than 100,000 families, providing fuel gift cards through its network of partner hospitals across Eastern Canada, New England and Ireland.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken
Krispy Krunchy Chicken, Alexandria, Louisiana, donated more than 1 ton of food to support underserved communities in the Atlanta area in partnership with Goodr, a food waste management company that focuses on reducing food waste and addressing food insecurity. Krispy Krunchy donated 225 surplus meals and 270 pounds of food to men, women and children in need at The Shepherd's Inn and My Sister's House, both part of the Atlanta Mission.
Krispy Krunchy also donated more than 2,000 pounds of food and more than 1,800 meals to the Atlanta Community Food Bank, which will feed more than 2,000 individuals.
