Delek US Holdings has extended its retail reach into Arkansas, CSP has learned. With units historically focused in West Texas and central New Mexico, the entry into a new state signals a new phase of growth for the retailer, whose headquarters is in Brentwood, Tennessee.

The retailer opened the two new stores under its new DK retail brand, one in Texarkana, just across the state line from Texas, and the other in Palestine, which is in the eastern end of Arkansas less than an hour drive from the Tennessee state line. Additional openings are expected in the state, as well, according to the company.

The openings follow on the company announcing it will invest $31 million in capital spending on its retail division in 2023, according to a press release. Most of that will go toward the ongoing rebrand of all of Delek's retail sites from 7-Eleven to DK. That effort is expected to be complete by the end of this year, the company said.

Delek US Holdings is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience-store retailing.
