Exhibit highlights images of convenience retailer's history
WAWA, Pa. -- As Wawa celebrates the 45th anniversary of its entrance into the convenience retailing business, the company said that it is a fitting time to take a look back at Wawa's journey and evolution through the years. As a special component of the 45th anniversary celebration, Wawa has collaborated with the Hagley Museum & Library in Wilmington, Del., to form a collection and publish a digital photo exhibit of the first 45 years of Wawa store history.

A portion of the photo exhibit was on display for the public to view at the Wawa Store No. 1 Wawaversary celebration [image-nocss] on April 16. The complete collection of historical Wawa photographs is available on the Hagley website at http://www.hagley.org/library/exhibits/wawa/home.html.

The 45th anniversary exhibit is all part of a larger collection of images and artifacts from the company's 200 years of history.

"We are delighted to include the Wawa story of innovation among the historical collections of the Hagley Library" said Terry Snyder, deputy director of the Hagley Library Administration. "For generations to come, scholars will benefit from studying the business practices of the company."
