Quick Chek's 'Joe to the World' Sets Record

Pours 100,670 complimentary cups of coffee on Black Friday
WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- To welcome the holiday season, and as part of the third annual Joe to the World free coffee event, Quick Chek, the family-operated chain of 125 fresh-food convenience store locations supplied customers with more than 100,670 complimentary cups of coffee' saving thousands of coffee lovers much-needed dough in the wake of Black Friday shopping and the Thanksgiving holiday.

Beginning at midnight on Friday, November 26, Quick Chek's Joe to the World event offered customers complimentary medium coffees for the following 24 hours.

"Quick Chek [image-nocss] is proud to share its famed coffee with our valued customers. Whether customers stopped in for a morning coffee or were fueling up to go holiday shopping, Joe to the World is one way we thank them for their continued patronage throughout the year," said Quick Chek vice president sales and marketing John Schaninger.

Quick Chek offered more than 92,000 free cups of coffee to holiday shoppers in 2009, increasing that number by approximately 8% to kick off the 2010 holiday shopping season for its customers.
