7-Eleven is now offering meat snacks from Vacadillos, a Stryve brand.

“Our mission at Stryve Foods has been about expanding the meat snack category with better-for-you options, while setting a new, higher standard of taste,” said Chris Boever, CEO of Stryve Foods. “We are excited to partner with 7-Eleven as we bring innovative, customer favorite solutions that enable category growth.”

Latin-inspired Vacadillos’ newest flavor of Carne Seca is Chipotle Honey, which is thinly sliced strips of air dried, seasoned steak. In addition, Vacadillos is now offering air-dried meat sticks in Chili Lime and Habanero flavors. All three items are now available nationwide at Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven in a feature display dedicated to the brand.

The meat snacks are positioned in the category as better-for-you. With no preservatives, the meat is air-dried and has upwards of 50% more protein per ounce than a beef jerky, Boever told CSP.

“It keeps people more full and therefore,” said Boever. “It's actually more affordable.”

Along with Vacadillos, Stryve has two additional brands, Braaitime and Kalahari.

“With each one of those brands, we have clear segmentation for different types of consumers, different flavorings and different positioning that we believe is going to help redefine the category in a way that brings not just protein and convenience, but also a health and wellness positioning,” Boever said.

Plano, Texas-based Stryve has keto and paleo diet friendly products that are made of beef and spices, are never cooked, contain zero grams of sugar and are free of monosodium glutamate, gluten, nitrites and preservatives. Its product portfolio consists primarily of air-dried meat-snack products marketed under the Stryve, Kalahari, Braaitime and Vacadillos brand names.

Based in Irving, Texas, 7-Eleven Inc. operates, franchises or licenses more than 13,000 7-Eleven convenience stores in the United States and Canada. In addition, it operates and franchises SpeedwayStripesLaredo Taco Company and Raise the Roost Chicken and Biscuits locations.
