7-Eleven extends sponsorship agreement with Andretti

INDIANAPOLIS -- 7-Eleven Inc. has extended its sponsorship agreement with Andretti Green Racing. The company will continue in its role as the chief supporter of the No. 11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone.

Dallas-based 7-Eleven has served as the primary sponsor for the Andretti Green entry driven by 2004 IndyCar Series champion Tony Kanaan for the past three seasons. During that time, 7-Eleven has also been an associate sponsor on the No. 7 XM Satellite Radio car driven by two-time race winner Bryan Herta, the No. 26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam machine [image-nocss] piloted by 2005 Indianapolis 500 winner and 2005 IndyCar Series champion Dan Wheldon and the No. 27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone three-time race winner Dario Franchitti, all of which are Andretti Green entries.

"We're excited to continue our lead sponsorship of Team 7-Eleven, and be a part of this great American racing tradition," said Jim Keyes, president and CEO of 7-Eleven.

Michael Andretti, who co-owns Andretti Green Racing with partners Kim Green and Kevin Savoree, is looking forward to building on an already successful relationship with 7-Eleven. "7-Eleven is such an integral part of our program that we're thrilled to have them on board for what we hope will be another championship season in 2006," said Andretti, who finished his legendary driving career in May of 2003 as a Team 7-Eleven driver. "Team 7-Eleven has consistently been a championship contender on the track, and off the track 7-Eleven has established a great sponsorship program."

Over the past three seasons, Team 7-Eleven has produced six victories, earned six pole positions (including the 89th running of the Indianapolis 500), scored 43 top-10 finishes and captured the 2004 IndyCar Series championship.
