American Express Card Members who enroll in the offer and make a one-time qualifying fuel purchase of $30 or more at a BP gas station during the period of April 1, 2014, through June 30, 2014 will have the one-time $5 statement credit applied to their American Express account statements.

"We're always looking for ways to reward our loyal customers, and this offer gives them one more reason to choose BP," said Jo Brecknock, BP director of brand and communications.

American Express Card members can also take advantage of this promotion by tweeting #AmexBP from a Twitter account that is connected to their card. Additionally, American Express also gives some card members the option to sign up for the offer when they sign into their American Express account online.

The offer is not valid at convenience stores, for online purchases or any other purchase not made at the pump. The offer also excludes aviation, marine, wholesale and other services. The qualifying spend must be met in a single transaction.

London-based BP, with U.S. headquarters in La Palma, Calif. (West), and Warrenville, Ill. (East), markets more than 15 billion gallons of gasoline every year to U.S. consumers through more than 11,000 BP- and ARCO-branded retail outlets.
