Convenience stores can earn a reputation for a lot of things: foodservice, gasoline prices, friendliness, customer service and more. But Olmsted Falls Mobil Exxon Café corners the market with its own unique legacy: hummus.
The retailer’s Homemade Momma Mary Hummus is the top draw for the store in northern Ohio with fresh homemade packaged hummus that includes unique flavors such as bacon, vegan Buffalo and cranberry.
Proudly and prominently promoted on the store’s street-side Mobil sign, the hummus brings people “out of their way to buy hummus,” said Store Manager Debbie Trsek.
Named after family matriarch Mary Dari, the hummus is prepared in 16 variations three to four times a week, and by Sunday, it’s typically sold out.
