2024 Beverage Report: Amid Higher Prices, A Hopeful Toast

Inflation affected packaged beverage sales in convenience stores over the past two years, but there may be an end in sight. 

“It thankfully has started to abate,” said Gary Hemphill, managing director of research, Beverage Marketing Corp., Wintersville, Ohio. “Beverages weren’t immune to the price increases.”

But now beverages across the board are growing in sales at convenience stores, outpacing other channels, with energy drinks as the biggest driver in non-alcohol beverages, said Scott Love, principal, retail client services at Circana, Chicago.
