Third generation tapped to lead convenience, energy divisions at Englefield Inc.

Ashley Englefield DeWitt has been named president of Englefield Retail and F.W. (Will) Englefield V has been named president of Englefield Energy, Heath, Ohio-based parent company Englefield Inc. announced Tuesday.

They are the third generation of Englefields to lead divisions of the company. Their fathers, F.W. (Bill) Englefield IV and Ben Englefield, remain presidents of Englefield Inc. “We are very excited for Will and Ashley to take these leadership roles in our family business,” they said. “Englefield was founded by our father more than 60 years ago, and we are proud to begin transitioning leadership to the third generation.”

Ashley Englefield DeWitt will lead Englefield Retail, which includes 116 Duchess Convenience Stores, Tic Tac Taco Mexican Kitchen, Taco Bell franchises and Royal Craft Kitchen, a food commissary supporting the convenience stores.

“It’s a privilege to carry the torch to lead Duchess,” said Ashley Englefield DeWitt. “I started my career working in our convenience stores and I am so honored to now lead this division of the company. I am excited to carry on the work my grandfather started when he established the first Duchess convenience store more than 60 years ago.”

Will Englefield will lead Englefield Energy, which encompasses the fuel, propane and lubricant divisions of Englefield Inc. With five warehouses and more than 100 trucks delivering product daily, Englefield Energy is a major central Ohio distributor of automotive, commercial and industrial fuel and lubricant products.

“Ashley and I have grown up in this business, and we share the core values instilled by our grandfather,” said Will Englefield, president of Englefield Energy. “I am proud to be the third generation of the Englefield family to take a leadership role in the company and look forward to continued growth and expansion.”

F.W. Englefield III started the Englefield company in 1961 by with three service stations and an office operating out of his basement. Englefield Energy and Englefield Retail employ nearly 1,400 team members across Ohio and West Virginia.
