Tri Star Energy continues its reimaging of stores to its Twice Daily and White Bison brands with the reopening of a store in Springfield, Tennessee.

The store opening is part of a three-year plan for the retailer to convert all its Sudden Service and Southern Traders c-stores to the Twice Daily banner throughout Tennessee and Alabama. Tri Star Energy acquired 13 Southern Traders convenience stores from Herndon Oil Co. in 2021 and 53 Sudden Service retail stores from Hollingsworth Oil Co. in 2020.

  • Tri Star Energy is No. 50 on CSP’s 2022 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience store chains by total number of company-owned retail outlets.

In February, Tri Star Energy initiated a three-year plan to convert all of the Sudden Service and Southern Traders convenience stores in Tennessee and Alabama to its Twice Daily brand. The initiative began with a reimaging of a store in Nashville opened on Feb. 14.

“We are overjoyed to expand our services and introduce White Bison Coffee to the Springfield community,” said Steve Hostetter, CEO of Tri Star Energy. “This marks our third ribbon cutting for our store conversions, and our main priority continues to be with our guests and store teams. As we go through this transition, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality service and offerings.”

To celebrate the new location, Twice Daily and White Bison Coffee presented a $1,500 check to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

Nashville, Tennessee-based Tri Star Energy is a leading convenience retailer and fuel supplier in the South.
