ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. recently revamped its Made-To-Order (MTO) food menu and significantly lowered prices on more than 20 items. The new menu still feature a wide selection of choices, but now customers only pay for the toppings they want.
Not since the launch of MTO in the early 1990s has Sheetz chairman Steve Sheetz served as a pitchman for the offer, until now. He told customers if a product isn't good, he won't put his name on it. He believes in this new menu so much that Steve himself is sitting in front of the camera again as the spokesperson [image-nocss] for this campaign, the company said.
"Our customers have come to know Sheetz as the place for fresh food made just the way they like it," Steve Sheetz said. "Now customers can enjoy our great tasting food at incredible pricesevery day."
The competition for market share in the quick-serve restaurant (QSR) industry has grown significantly in recent years, making it necessary to find new ways to offer customers everything they want at affordable prices. The new reduced prices at Sheetz are a standout from competitors who offer value on limited menu items during limited times, said the company. "We feel it's a better offer than many of our competitors make because the low prices are available 24-hours a day, added Steve Sheetz.
These new menu selections have been available at all Sheetz locations since December 6.
Altoona, Pa.-based Sheetz operates 329 convenience locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina. It provides a menu of MTO subs, sandwiches and salads, which are ordered through touchscreen order-point terminals. All Sheetz convenience stores are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
