New Convenience-Store Roundup for September 2022
By Greg Lindenberg on Oct. 12, 2022CHICAGO — This edition of CSP's New Convenience-Store Roundup features new-to-industry (NTI) c-store openings, as well as closings, that took place in September 2022.
Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin topped the monthly state tally of retail locations, each adding five new stores, followed closely Texas, which added four new stores. Sheetz and Kwik Trip opened the most stores, with eight and seven, respectively.
The unscientifically gathered roundup—gleaned from company announcements, websites, email, social media and newspapers around the country, among other sources—is by no means complete, but it serves as a monthly competitive snapshot of newly opened or closed U.S. c-stores, gas stations, truckstops and travel centers.

Unless otherwise noted, these NTI locations offer the food, snacks, beverages, tobacco, merchandise, services and amenities found in most c-stores. Most offer fuel. ...
