Kwik Stop Under New Ownership

President and CEO purchases 20-store chain in Nebraska, Colorado

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- The man who has managed the familiar Kwik Stop convenience stores throughout west central Nebraska now owns them, said the North Platte Bulletin.

Dan ONeill and his wife Judy purchased the stores from Paul and Jacque Trumble. The ONeills will assume operating control of 20 c-stores throughout central and western Nebraska and northeastern Colorado, the report said.

ONeill said he would continue to serve as president and CEO of the Kwik Stop entities. Our customers wont see a lot of changes, ONeill [image-nocss] told the newspaper. We will continue to offer 24-hour service and clean, friendly locations.

ONeill said he planned to continue to promote the sale of ethanol in most store locations in order to support the agriculture industry, the report added.

Paul and Jacque Trumble, who have lived in North Platte for more than 30 years, told the paper that they would like to thank all the customers in the North Platte area as well as in other communities. In a press release issued by Kwik Stop, the Trumbles said they have complete faith in the ONeills ability to continue the operation of the stores as leaders in the c-store industry.

Dan ONeill joined Kwik Stop more than 10 years ago, the report said. Before that, ONeill was a salesman for Cash Wa Distributing Co. for 15 years.

Kwik Stop stores are operated in North Platte, Lexington, Hershey, Ogallala, Imperial, Kimball, Grant, Mitchell, Morrill, Oshkosh, St. Pete, Central City and Clarks, Neb., and Holyoke, Colo. Gasoline brands include Cenex, Conoco, Phillips 66 and Sinclair. Branded food offerings include Piccadilly Circus Pizza and Taco Johns Mexpress. Other offerings at the 24-hour stores include lottery, ATMs, coffee, fountain beverages and carton cigarettes, as well as liquor at one location.
