Yesway's Texas Strong Campaign to Support Communities Affected by Tornadoes

Yesway, staying true to its value of community, is holding a fundraising campaign and donating $100,000 to Matador, Perryton and Hawley, Texas, which were recently hit by tornadoes. 

“Everyone at Yesway feels compelled to support our friends and neighbors who live and work in Matador, Perryton and Hawley,” said Tom Trkla, chairman and CEO oif the Fort Worth, Texas-based convenience-store chain. “We are donating $100,000 to benefit the families and community members who have been affected by these disastrous tornadoes. We ask our Yesway and Allsup’s customers to join us by making donations at our stores. We also invite our supplier partners to join with us in raising funds for our affected communities. Every generous donation will help us to achieve our goal of raising $200,000 for those who have been affected.” 

Through July 31, Yesway and Allsup’s customers in Texas will have the opportunity to make $1, $5, $10 or larger donations at checkout.  

Perryton, a rural Texas Panhandle town of approximately 8,000 people was hit on June 15. Matador, a small town of 600 was nearly flattened on June 21 with at least four lives lost and dozens injured. A tornado in Hawley, an even smaller town of only 584, has had devastating effects on the community. 

Yesway often supports the communities it where it’s located. In 2022, the c-store chain donated more than $54,000 to local charities, civic organizations, military and veteran groups and first responders. 

Over the past two years, Yesway raised more than $1 million through its annual Golf & Clays Classic charitable fundraising tournaments.
