Overall, 64% of c-store consumers visit once a week or more often. These shoppers are termed Super Heavy Users, according to Technomic, and they’re the industry’s most frequent customer. Many people may have a fixed idea about who this customer is, but a new picture is coming into focus.
A little more than two-thirds (68%) of Super Heavy Users are men who say they visit a c-store at least once a week, but 61% of women in this group say the same. This means that among this most frequent guest cluster, women are widely represented and the gender gap is not as big as one may think.
