WEST DES MOINES, Iowa Allsup's convenience stores are getting a security upgrade through parent-company Yesway's partnership with Acumera. All locations will receive Acumera's managed network service provider (MNSP) product that segments and secures point-of-sale (POS) systems and store network environments, while also providing port-level visibility of network devices and apps that support security, remote access, analytics and store-wide monitoring.

"Acumera brings unparalleled security and managed network services to Allsup's and Yesway locations," said Doug New, CTO of Yesway. "Through Acumera's AcuVigil Dashboard and its 24/7 network operations center, sites are proactively monitored to quickly identify and resolve issues before they become larger, more expensive problems."

In November 2019, Yesway acquired Allsup’s convenience stores—the largest acquisition in its history—and jumped from 150 to 421 stores in one transaction. The move also catapulted Yesway up more than 20 spots in CSP’s annual Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by number of retail outlets. Yesway is No. 17 on the 2020 Top 202 list.

Acumera, a managed network service provider (MNSP), is installing its end-to-end, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant solution at all Allsup's locations. In addition to security and support, stores will also gain access to Acumera's cloud-based suite of apps and tools to simplify compliance and support Internet-of-things devices, loyalty programs, business management software and more.

"Our team is committed to the successful implementation of Acumera's full suite of services and patented technology at Allsup's and Yesway locations. Our utmost goals are to protect the company's networks and POS systems while also enabling them to reduce the number of third-party connections and devices, increase operational efficiencies, simplify compliance and focus on their long-term success,” said William Morrow, chairman and CEO of Acumera.

Austin, Texas-based Acumera, a Level 1 PCI-certified service provider, is listed on the Visa and Mastercard Global Registries of PCI-compliant service providers and is a Gilbarco- and Verifone-certified MNSP.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Yesway is an affiliate of Beverly, Mass.-based Brookwood Financial Partners, a real-estate and private-equity investment and asset management company with more than $2.6 billion in holdings. Brookwood Financial Partners LLC formed BW Gas & Convenience in 2015 and announced its c-store brand—Yesway—in summer 2016.
