FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- KSS, a major supplier of fuels pricing analytics, execution and optimization systems to the oil and gas, convenience store, grocery and big-box retail industries, has appointed Alan Preston to the role of vice president sales for North America.
Preston comes to KSS from SAP, where he served as oil and gas client director for custom development for North America. His responsibilities at KSS will include leading and supporting the sales team in fulfilling the growing demand for KSS products and services in North America. He will report to Bob Stein, CEO of KSS.

Preston brings with him more than 23 years of downstream petroleum experience and a strong track record of leveraging software and advanced application solutions to deliver business benefits to his customer base. This includes working in several roles at SAP, including downstream oil and gas industry principal for North America. Prior to that, he worked for Honeywell International where he held a variety of global positions in sales management, strategic corporate account management, business development, technical consulting and product development.
The KSS North American sales team has doubled in size over the last 10 months, the firm said.
KSS provides fuels pricing analytics, price management, rules-based pricing and optimization technology and services to fuel retailers and wholesalers. Its clients include global, national and regional companies managing a total of more than $100 billion in revenue through more than 20.000 fuel sites and rack terminals throughout the world. KSS's U.S. headquarters is located in Florham Park, N.J., and its European headquarters is in Manchester, U.K.
