Kwik Fill Gives Out Mobile Coupons

Pennsylvania retailer partners with Koupon Media to add offers to loyalty program

WARREN, Pa. — United Refining Co., which operates the Kwik Fill/Red Apple convenience chain, has partnered with Koupon Media to deliver mobile offers, a move that coincides with the chain’s newly launched loyalty program.

The mobile offers will be distributed through Kwik Fill’s marketing communication strategy, which includes integration with Kwik Fill’s loyalty program. The mobile-offer program will deliver personalized, targeted incentives to Kwik Fill customers that are designed to increase in-store purchases and link loyalty back to the rewards program.

Kwik Fill’s customers will receive money-saving incentives and rewards; at the same time, the company will receive attribution of those sales to specific individuals.

“After a lot of research and preparation, we’re excited to launch this next component in our overall marketing strategy,” said Lance Pangborn, director of advertising and media for Kwik Fill.

Kwik Fill joins Koupon’s client list of 28,000 major convenience stores that drive loyalty, store traffic and sales with the Koupon platform.

“We are thrilled to be working with Kwik Fill to help them deliver more targeted value to their customer base,” said Brad Van Otterloo, chief revenue officer for Koupon Media. “Kwik Fill’s loyal customer base will be visiting their stores even more frequently, to save on the products they love most.”

Koupon will continue to provide support to Kwik Fill as the company works to expand its mobile-offers program into a major form of customer engagement during various campaigns and events, including sweepstakes that will be held in June, the company said.

United Refining runs 292 Kwik Fill and Red Apple stores, with another 71 stores operating as Country Fair under a separate division within the company.

Dallas-based Koupon Media is a provider of mobile offers with targeting and security technology. Koupon’s branded clients are some of the largest consumer packaged goods brands in the country in categories such as carbonated beverages, beer, candy, gum, bottled water, salty snacks, tobacco and energy drinks. It is one of the world’s largest mobile-coupon platforms, with more than 40,000 retail stores using its technology to target, distribute and redeem traffic-driving in-store offers.
